The Speedmaster CK 2998 is a tribute to the original Omega Speedmaster Reference 2998 introduced in 1959. That watch repalced the original Speedmaster 2915 and is often identified as the archetype of the Speedmaster.
The watch has a lovely dark navy blue bezel and subdials which contrast beautifully against the creamy dial background. This Speedmaster is most likely one of the most unique among the many references made by the brand during the last 60 years. It has all the characteristics of a modern Speedmaster including the 1861 caliber but many of the details ar achored in vintage moonwatches. The CK 2998 color scheme is very unique to this watch and made it an instant classic.
