Introduced in 2004"Mars to the Moon" is a limited production, the watch was retired when it reached a total production of 1300 pieces rather that a predeterminate production like a Limited Edition.
The "from the Moon to Mars" is a rather unique Speedmaster because none of its subdial is the same color and each identify with a specific planet or moon. The second counter at 9 is the Earth, the chronograph hour counter at 6 is the moon and the planet Mars is the Chronograph minute counter.
The watch has an important cult following, it symbolizes mankind next frontier which is the conquest of Planet Mars. It was introduced when a few remarks by then President George W. Bush, private companies had expressed interest in reaching the Red planet.
The watch is in mint condition and complete. A great first step into collecting rare limited Omega Speedmasters.
