Introduced in the mid 1980's, the Omega Speedmaster with astronomic moonphase and date seems to be the natural evolution of this model. The moon is reminiscent of the watch history and the complication itself coupled with a date remained a useful tool to the wearer.
The Speedmaster with Moonphase reference 345.0809 was the first watch introduced with that complication and was produced in less than 1300 pieces. It was followed with the ref. 3576.50.00
The above watch is in like new condition with a gorgeous dial. The watch is a "must-have" for any serious Speedmaster collector.
